Why We Built This
I started this because I kept seeing the same thing everywhere I looked: brilliant people with real skills — a baker in Stockholm, a tailor in Lagos, a photographer in Manila — invisible online because they couldn't afford the tools that bigger businesses take for granted.
A marketing agency costs $5,000–$15,000 a month. A web developer alone is $3,000 upfront and $500/month to maintain. An in-house marketing team is $180,000 a year in salaries. These aren't options for most of the world's 500 million small business owners.
The unfair advantage has always been access — access to expertise, to technology, to time. Large companies have entire departments doing what a solo founder needs to do themselves at midnight after a full day of work.
